I really like writing.

I wish when I was a kid, writing was more accepted as a hobby instead of a necessity.

I've met a lot of really, really rude people that hear that my hobby is writing and scoff.

They tend to say stuff like 'oh, I can write too', 'you need a better hobby, everyone can write'.

It used to bother me, I thought that everyone was better than me.

Then I read their 'writing', and I realised that they were talking about 'study writing', like essays.

There was an art to Literature that I really liked and the others didn't or couldn't see.

It was only until I was like, what, nineteen?

I met a bunch of people that actually understood what I meant when I said 'writing is my passion'.

Good guys.

It's kinda funny, thinking that there was a time people thought that my hobby was writing essays.

Well, I do enjoy writing essays, but I prefer fiction.

Unlike reality, fiction has to make sense, or else a bunch of people will point it out.

Funny how that works.

Twelfth (Pacechanging)

  Alright, so I'm making a game.  I've been looking for hobbies for a while, but nothing really managed to stick. I even went as far as to try and learn how to edit videos to try and be one of those video editors, but I should have known to stop when it felt less like a hobby and more like work.  I made a couple of pretty okay-ish edited videos, like this one; 25/02/2023 And this one, that I edited for my friend Shiv; 25/11/2020 Mostly I did little comedy and montage bits, but I was editing mostly because I thought I enjoyed it. The 'editing' part is fun, seeing the final result too, but there was always a strange disappointment when I finished editing. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but I began editing videos for my classes and it began to really claw at my psyche. 09/10/2021 I'm a writer, not an artist, and editing was more artistic than 'writi-stic'. Blue Cards

Dean M.H.C, 030920, 1761 words, Blue Cards I held onto my mother’s hand, walking through the streets as the world bustled around me. I watched as the life of the world around me stuttered with a sense of splendor. The sky was a cloudless blue, the buildings a bright set of electric candles lining the street, the smells of the shops with the departmental air fresheners or slightly overcooked food was the atmosphere that I had grown up in. I jerked by head around to see the patrons slowly trickling in and out, some laughing, some crying, some screaming, some nothing. A glorious cacophony of life.
